Many thanks to everyone who had a part in a very successful Lucas County Historical Society ice cream social last evening. But especially to this ensemble, Singing Mesa Jam-ble, whose members treated us to an hour of fine bluegrass and country mix on the patio.
We couldn't have asked for better weather and the campus and buildings were flooded with young families with children, a development that warms the heart of anyone associated with a museum.
Older guests certainly are highly valued, too --- and we had a good mix.
Remember that the museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday through the end of October and at other times by appointment. Admission is free although donations certainly are appreciated.
