As that Roman guy Horace said, "Carpe diem!"
Just a few flowers from the museum gardens this morning, transitory things ...
Especially late-blooming iris sometimes called "Siberian."
Some day lily varieties have been developed to just keep blooming.
And daisies are sturdy creatures. They'll be around for a while.
But it's a season of the year when preoccupation with less consequential things can cause a guy to miss the important stuff.
The Buddha reportedly put it this way: "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
Not bad advice.
