The Lucas County Arts Council's annual Gallery Night at the C.B.&Q. Freight House in Chariton Saturday attracted a substantial crowd and rewarded those of us who were part of it with glimpses of the work of 14 or so local artists and some pretty terrific hors d'oeuvres (plus wine, if you wanted it).
Here are a few works that caught my attention. There were many others, equally deserving of attention.
"Recital" by Paula Coffey
"Boys" by Mary Rojo
"Wedding Day" by Lily Anna Pierschbacher
By Nash Cox
By Kathy Willitts
By Chery Woolsey
"Vintage Snowfall" by Sharon Wilhite
