Enter stage right --- the snake

Here's a new cartoon by David Hayward, aka the Naked Pastor, that caught my eye this morning.  

Based upon the Adam and Eve version of the creation myth recorded in Genesis, of course.

So I got to thinking about it in terms of all the current hooting and hollering among fundamentalists about transgender women.

And all the legislative and related efforts to keep them in their place, too.

According to the American Civil Liberties Union, legislatures in all but two states introduced more than 500 bills during the 2023 session targeting the LGBTQ+ community. Transgender people were among the most frequently targeted and the great majority of that effort was pointed at transgender women.

Why not transgender men? Well, the patriarchy and women who buy into its propaganda can understand why someone would want  to be a man. It's Biblical, after all.

But a transgender woman? Enter stage right the snake ....
