Accurate information about critical race theory and how and where it's taught is kind of hard to come by --- including in Iowa, where last year's Legislature passed an absurdly convoluted law attempting to ban the teaching of something the great majority of lawmakers didn't understand and really knew anything about. Gov. Kim Reynolds, of course, signed it.
But that's par for the course for Iowa's Legislature.
A similar legislative debate is going on this year in Mississippi, where only one formal course on the theory is offered --- at the University of Mississippi College of Law in Oxford.
Here's a link to an article in yesterday's "Mississippi Today" about the course, headlined: "Inside Mississippi’s only class on critical race theory." Quite a bit of good information here, concisely presented.
