There were plenty of fireworks in the neighborhood last night, but nothing untoward --- and if you cared to walk up to the corner, the fire department's display was visible in the night sky to the north.
Everything ended near the appointed time and overnight was quiet --- so I'm not complaining.
But earlier in the evening, I went out to admire the fireworks in the museum garden --- day lilies in many varieties just beginning to come into bloom.
These all were planted several years ago by Kay Brown and continue to flourish.
All in all, I prefer this kind.
