Calm down --- here's "The Road Home"

Here's a peaceful start to the day, a lovely virtual version of Stephen Paulus's "The Road Home" performed and released during Pride Month 2020 by Aftershock, an a cappella ensemble of the Gay Mens Chorus of Los Angeles.

The piece was commissioned by the Dale Warland Singers during 2001 and the Minneapolis-based composer (1949-2014) adapted as the melody a tune from "The Southern Harmony Songbook" of 1835.

The words are by his friend and colleague Michael Dennis Browne, poet and librettist, who is, by the way, a University of Iowa graduate, now professor emeritus at the University of Minnesota.

The precise nature of the road the song conjures up is entirely up to you.
