Thoughts while watching reports from Christchurch

Had the attacks on two mosques occurred in the United States, no one would have been surprised.

Many here would (and will) suggest that if those gathered for prayer had been armed, they would not have died.

A sitting U.S. president, yesterday, warned of violence by his adherents against those who oppose him.

People of faith who believe they are "saved," and that those who do not share their faith "lost," are lost --- and part of the problem.

If you are a gun owner, you are a potential killer and/or enabler of someone who might use your weapons to kill.

Those who cannot use the social media responsibly should not use the social media.

Those of us who tolerate social media "friends" who are Islamaphobic or advocates of violence or who use their online voices to diminish others should cut them off.

Jesus won't heal the wounded or impose peace, nor will your prayers comfort those who mourn. Focus instead on becoming an instrument of peace yourself.
