Don't you dare miss the Arts Festival

So when I got up at 4 a.m. today to write, Windstream (aka the internet provider) was down, and just switched itself back on. Grrrr. Such things interfere with plans.

So I've borrowed my friend Lauri's photo (above) to remind us all that the Lucas County Arts Council's annual fall festival will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday at the C.B.&Q. Freight House. In case you've forgotten what that building looks like, here it is.

It's a great event. There's art of all sorts, both local and from afar --- and as a rule, food, too. So come on over. It's free.

I've also recycled a few festival photos from earlier years. These are some of the local artists who will be there.

My good neighbor Nash Cox, looking very artistic indeed.

Susan Baer, a highly accomplished watercolorist.

And Meg Prange, fabric artist.

Hope to see you there supporting the Arts Council, the arts and Chariton in general.

Thanks, Frank. We have added wine tasting from a local winery and some sample treats from Piper's candy store. Also, some coloring fun for everyone. The art should be amazing, as well! See you there.
