One thing leads to another, and I've been listening this week to the late, great Kate Wolf (1942-1986), whose beautiful and clear voice was silenced too soon by leukemia.
This is my favorite of her songs; in fact, I posted Nanci Griffith's version of it to Facebook earlier in the week. But here's the real deal (not that the Griffith version isn't).
According to some reports, it was written during a time of personal turmoil and unrest --- and there's a good deal of that going around collectively these days.
Some great listening for a Sunday morning ....
Some Sunday morning sunshine and fresh flowers on the kitchen table, too.
