The annual Art at the Museum event opens at 10 a.m. today and runs until 4 p.m. on the Lucas County Historical Society Museum campus, 123 North 17th St., in Chariton.
Thirty-something local and regional artists, live music, fun events for youngsters, food (fresh-roasted peanuts, popcorn and more), etc. Admission's free.
I've been doing what I am accomplished at during the last few days --- pulling weeds --- while staff and board members gather and organize what's necessary to carry this off. Even the grounds are in relatively good shape!
So feel free to stop in! There will be golf carts circulating if you park near the campus. This is a joint project, by the way, with the Lucas County Arts Council.
