Art and more --- at the museum

Just a few images this morning from Saturday's "Art at the Museum" event, a joint project of the Lucas County Historical Society and Lucas County Arts Council.

I was struggling with a camera that wasn't communicating well with other devices --- and it shows in the fact fewer artists are represented here than should be. But that's the way it goes some years.

It's always good to see the incredibly accomplished Sue Baer, here with Mikki Allen as audience, at work.

Next door, fabric artist Meg Prange was working during the show on a piece for Iowa Lutheran Hospital, celebrating that institution's volunteers.

Nick Finley and Tanya Shultz of Melcher-Dallas brought creatively recycled wood items, "Reclaimed Visions," to the show.

This was a first-time entry for Williamson's Charles Goering, visiting here with historical society board members Teresa Lahart and Jennifer Snook-Hall.

Sharon Wilhite (behind the desk) and the Pierschbacher sisters spent the day creating and displaying, as well as offering hands-on fun for youngsters, at Puckerbrush School.

And live music was provided after lunch by this ensemble of Sharon Wilhite (left), Dalee Ewing, Chloe Ewing, Emma Flournoy and Kathy Harvey

We couldn't have asked for better weather --- and then it rained overnight. Ideal ending to a good day.
