There may be a series of abbreviated morning posts here as I fritter away parts of several evenings watching the latest Midsomer Murders episodes --- season 22. Imagine that. I believe I've seem them all and own DVD versions of those issued in pre-streaming days.
Sadly, I had to buy this series because it is airing gratis only on a streaming service, Acorn TV, that I have no intention of subscribing to.
Three were dispatched during last evening's episode --- Reuben Tooms, stabbed with sharpened shinai sword; Georgie Tremayne, strangled with red ribbon; and Mac McInally, shotgun blast to the face after the gun he was using had cloth stuffed into its barrel.
Yes, it is mildly disconcerting that I sit glued to a screen relishing each imaginative dispatch and then sleep so well once the identity of the perpetrator has been revealed. I have no explanation.
