This is not exactly fresh material --- I posted the video on social media last week so perhaps everyone interested already has seen it. But I tried to find "Summers Past on Lucas County Prairies" yesterday on someone else's device, couldn't locate my YouTube channel and did a lot of thrashing around. So here it is, in the blog, which is easier to locate.
It's an experiment with the video capabilities built into "Photos" on Windows 10, a quick and easy way to develop a slideshow with musical accompaniment and to do a variety of other things. I've got some other projects in mind, so was playing around and liked the end product.
I took all of the photos a couple of years ago on prairie remnants located along the Cinder Path --- one stretch east of Derby and the other between Derby and Humeston at the county line alongside Highway 65. Had I invested more time, I'd have noted the identities of the plants in the photographs, but didn't --- so you're on your own in that department.
