A couple of other reunion photos ...

I wanted to share a couple of other Russell High School reunion photos before getting on with life, including this one --- which is borrowed from Carol (Pierce) Coulson. My version of it was shot from the side and obscured a couple of people, so thanks Carol!

That's Eileen Wright, now 94 and a beloved kindergarten teacher in Russell for many years, in the center --- surrounded by some of her students from the classes of 1964, 1965 and 1966 --- now considerably older.

Seated in the front are (from left) Linda (Smith) Cain, Dawn (Wright) Beaty --- Eileen's daughter, Sue (Price) Vogel, Gwen Cottingham and Lois (Thompson) Reynolds.

Standing (from left): Mike Beaty, Carl Werts, Roger Osenbaugh, Mike Lindeman, Paul McKinley, Steve Pierce, Carol (Pierce) Coulson and Mike Cross.

Another honored guest Saturday evening was Bob Cain (right), who taught history and physical education as well as coaching in Russell before moving into Chariton, where he continued to teach and coach until retirement. That's Ike Lockridge on the left.

About 60 people --- classmates and significant others --- attended the joint class reunion supper at the C.B.&Q. Freight house and enjoyed a program put together by Carol Coulson and Dawn, narrated by Dawn. Earlier in the day, as noted previously, the class of 1964 got together at Pin Oak Lodge. Students in the classes of 1965 and 1966 and some from 1964, too, got together during the morning at the Russell Museum and Beaty Insurance office.

All in all, it was a great day --- and the efforts of everyone involved in organizing are much appreciated. Best estimates were that 70 percent of both the classes of 1964 and 1965 attended. The 1966 classmates were a little sparser, but they have the option of celebrating their 50th next year, too, if they wish to do so.

Thank you Frank for posting the pictures. Really enjoyed viewing ( AND REVIEWING) THEM. I GRADUATED IN 1958, but sure remember all those students as great kids. I babysit Carl Werts, Gwen sang at my wedding (and doesn't look any older, thought Dawn was so cute( and still is),teased Mike L., Grew up with Steve P. & his family and have fond memories of many others. Of course my favorite grad is my brother, Paul McKinley. Looks like it was a great reunion.
